Latest Trade Buzz Surrounding Minnesota Wild Kevin Fiala
While the Minnesota Wild have enjoyed a strong season so far in 2021-22, unfortunately not everyone on their team has been playing up to expectations. Insert forward Kevin Fiala, who has three goals in 18 games so far this year. Trade rumors have been picking up and here's the latest.
Marek: "The Nashville guys found him challenging when he first showed up as a rookie"

Friedman: "He's very confident in himself, there's no questioning that, sometimes it rubs people the wrong way, but whatever, I'd rather have someone believe in themselves than not".
Fiala does have nine assists for 12 points total, which isn't a horrible start, however expectations were extremely high considering he signed for $5.25 million this past offseason.
The Wild continue to gauge the market for a center so perhaps Fiala could be dangled to acquire someone down the middle, or perhaps he sticks out the full season with the Wild. Considering how his ice-time hasn't slipped and he recorded one goal and one assist on Sunday against Tampa Bay, it feels like the rumors will be going quiet for now until closer to the trade deadline.
Fiala managed to scored 20 goals in his past two seasons, and will be in tough to meet the mark this year. Regardless, he's showing that he can still be a productive player regardless of how many times he puts the puck in the net.
