Latest Update on Avalanche Forward Nathan MacKinnon
The Colorado Avalanche appear to be getting back a very important piece of their roster as superstar winger Nathan MacKinnon is expected back in the lineup on Wednesday when the team visits the Toronto Maple Leafs.

Avs coach Jared Bednar confirmed the good news on Monday when he met with the media:
He was fantastic. One of the hardest-working players on the ice, high tempo to his game. You can tell he’s been doing a lot of that work we talked about the other day with Shawn (Allard) and getting healthy. We know he’s in top condition and he was pushing the pace today to try and make things happen at game speed.
The Avalanche practiced on Monday and MacKinnon was a full participant, wearing a regular blue jersey. Bednar went on to mention how the Avs superstar looked good and the team will monitor his progress over the next couple of days.
The Avalanche will not practice on Tuesday and will head to Toronto to begin their five-game road trip, here was the scene from practice today:
