Maple Leafs to Make Roster Changes Ahead of Sunday's Game

The Toronto Maple Leafs had their five-game winning streak snapped by the Pittsburgh Penguins on Saturday night and on Sunday make way to Long Island to face off against the New York Islanders. Leafs Nation should expect to see a couple new faces in the lineup.

After the loss to the Penguins it's become obvious Pierre Engvall is struggling. He has only recorded one point in his last 13 games and hasn't scored since opening night. It was a bad game for the Maple Leafs winger on Saturday night and it's expected Kirill Semyonov will draw back in against the Islanders on Sunday.

The Leafs are likely going to make a change on defense as well. Look for Travis Dermott to be inserted back into Toronto's lineup with Timothy Liljegren or Justin Holl coming out. The Leafs gave up a couple of stinkers against the Penguins and a lot of that had to do with lack of communication, not moving their feet and on the one goal, Liljegren in particular looked awful.

The Maple Leafs will also have Joseph Woll back in net on Sunday as Jack Campbell gets a rest. It will be the second career start for Woll who managed to hang on to beat the Buffalo Sabres last week. The Isles always play the Leafs tough at home, so it will be a huge test for the young netminder who is looking to make an impression on the organization while everyone awaits for Petr Mrazek to get healthy.

On Saturday night the Penguins became the first team in the NHL to beat the Maple Leafs for a second time this season. Look for the Maple Leafs to have a bounce back performance on Sunday, with a few different names in the lineup.
