Montreal Canadiens Call Up Top Goalie Prospect
The Montreal Canadiens have called up goaltender Cayden Primeau from the Laval Rocket. This is in response to goaltender Jake Allen getting injured during Saturday night's contest against the Detroit Red Wings.
The Canadiens have a game on Sunday night against the Boston Bruins, so they needed another goalie immediately. At this juncture, the team has not announced if Primeau or Samuel Montembeault will get the start.Les Canadiens ont procédé au rappel du gardien Cayden Primeau. Il rejoindra le club à Boston.

It wouldn't be a bad idea to give Primeau a shot at another NHL game during his call-up. Over his career thus far, he has played in six contests. In them, he has a 2-3-1 record and .885 SV%. Interestingly, Montembeault has an identical .885 SV% in four games with the Canadiens this season.
Primeau is also off to a very good start with Laval this season. He currently sports a 4-4-0 record, 2.41 GAA and .916 SV%. With that, he also has two shutouts.
