Montreal Canadiens Coach Calls Out Team After Blowout Loss

The Montreal Canadiens got pumped by the Pittsburgh Penguins at home on Thursday night and wouldn't you know their head coach was not happy after the game.

Dominique Ducharme can't get over how bad his team has been this season, considering all their success last season. The Canadiens bench boss was open and honest after the team's latest loss and it appears to be a gloomy season on the horizon in Montreal:

Tonight, we were just bad. Everyone needs to go through it but tonight we were just bad. I can stand here and try to analyze every play but we were bad

Ducharme is running out of excuses as with each loss piling up questions start to arise about his job security. The Canadiens haven't be able to string some wins together this season and have dealt with a wide range of things off the ice that haven't helped their focus at all. The team has the second-worst goal differential in the league at minus -29.

The Canadiens are now 4-13-2 on the season and appear headed for a lottery birth at the upcoming draft. The team will try and turn things around for their head coach on Saturday as they host the Nashville Predators. Once they are finished hosting the Preds, the Canadiens will hit the road for a three-game road trip next week.

Tough times for Habs fans, as some more minor moves could be coming in Montreal. We all await anything major at this point. Each loss certainly creates more pressure.
