Nashville Predators To Retire Pekka Rinne's Number
The Nashville Predators have announced that they will be retiring Pekka Rinne's No. 35 on February 24, 2022 when the team takes on the Dallas Stars. With this, he will be the first player to ever have his number retired by the franchise.
The Predators didn't take much time to make this decision, as the 39-year-old just retired from the team this off-season. Rinne had a magnificent career with the Predators. In 683 games with the franchise, he had a 369-213-75 record, 2.43 GAA and .917 SV%. Along with that, he won the Vezina Trophy in 2018, the King Clancy Memorial Trophy in 2021 and was a four-time All-Star.February 24, 2022.

Rinne's dominance during his prime years allowed the Predators to be very competitive, but they sadly never were able to win a Stanley Cup with him leading them. Yet, he still will be remembered as one of the biggest figures the franchise ever had.
Predator fans should be looking to purchase tickets for this game. It's going to such a historic night for the franchise. Congrats, Pekka!
