New York Islanders Key Defenseman Out Multiple Weeks

The New York Islanders have announced that defenseman Ryan Pulock will be out for the next four-to-six weeks due to a lower-body injury.
Pulock was injured on Monday night against the Tampa Bay Lightning after blocking a shot. He would leave the game early as a result and of course was also out for the Islanders for Tuesday's contest against the Florida Panthers.

There's really no sugarcoating it - this is horrible news for the Islanders. They currently have a 5-6-2 record and are at the bottom of the Metropolitan Division. Over their last four games, they have been outscored by opponents 19-4. Yet, it also is important to remember that they were the victims of a horrendous schedule, as they played all of their first 13 games on the road. Therefore, fatigue certainly played a factor in this.

However, being with Pulock now for at least a month is not helping their chances of getting things back in order. The Pulock-Adam Pelech pair is noted as one of the bests in the entire league and now that's been taken away from them.
