New York Rangers Forward Done For The Season
New York Rangers forward Sammy Blais will be out for the rest of the regular season. He has a torn ACL and is set to have surgery in a few weeks.
Hearing that Blais will miss remainder of season. Just a terrible blow for the winger. Tough loss for Rangers, as well. Details will follow when available.

Blais was injured against the New Jersey Devils on Sunday night after an awkward collision with defenseman P.K. Subban. Some hockey fans have argued that the play looked like another slewfoot from Subban. We'll let you be the judge of that.
This is such sad news for Blais. The 25-year-old winger was playing well with his new team so far in a bottom-six role. Now, his season ends after just 14 games. In them, he recorded four assists and had 37 hits. The Rangers will surely miss his physical nature in the lineup. It's a major reason why they acquired him in the first place.
Blais was a part of the Pavel Buchnevich trade with the St. Louis Blues during the summer. Therefore, he was a player all Ranger fans were watching closely, but sadly, they now will have to wait until next season to do so.
As for Blais' replacement in the lineup, it won't be top prospect Vitali Kravtsov. The winger has been loaned to the KHL and has to play the remainder of the campaign there. This could be a chance for a player like Morgan Barron to crawl into the lineup, though.
We'd like to send our best wishes to Sammy as he deals with this serious injury.
