The Vitali Kravtsov situation with the New York Rangers is continuing to get more interesting. The franchise has now loaned the disgruntled prospect to Traktor Chelyabinsk of the KHL.
After not making the NHL roster before the start of the regular season, Kravtsov refused to report to the Hartford Wolf Pack and requested a trade from the Rangers. There has been interest around the league for the youngster, but the Rangers have not been able to make a trade that they find acceptable. Now it's official: Vitali Kravtsov has been loaned to Traktor in the KHL, per #NYR

Kravtsov was drafted ninth overall by the Rangers, so it makes sense that the Rangers would want a lot back for him. However, he has also has only 20 games of NHL experience under his belt. During those contests, he only recorded two goals and four points. Thus, he certainly hasn't taken the league by storm in his small sample size.
This could end up being a good move for both parties. Kravtsov will once again be able to play professional hockey and if he succeeds in Russia, his trade value should be able to increase a bit.
