Ottawa Senators Place Enforcer On Waivers

The Ottawa Senators have placed forward Scott Sabourin on waivers.

Sabourin re-signed with the Senators this off-season after spending the previous campaign with the Toronto Maple Leafs. With the Senators this season, he suited up in just one game and was held off the scoresheet.

Sabourin initially debuted with the Senators during the 2019-20 season. This was the year that saw him have his most action in the NHL. In 35 games that year, he scored two goals and had six points. Along with that, he had a total of 33 penalty minutes.

Team looking to add a little bit of toughness to their lineup could opt to claim the 6'4" winger. The same could be said with teams who have multiple injuries. The San Jose Sharks specifically come to mind, as they just placed seven players in NHL COVID-19 protocol.
