Report: Tuukka Rask Becoming Open to Signing With Other Teams
According to Chris Johnston of TSN, free-agent netminder Tuukka Rask does prefer to rejoin the Boston Bruins but recently has become more open to the possibility of playing elsewhere.
Rask who has spent his entire career with the Bruins is recovering from offseason surgery. Rask has been skating at the Bruins practice facility for weeks and appears to be getting closer to game shape. Boston currently has Jeremy Swayman and Linus Ullmark under contract for this season and don't appear to have any room for Rask, even though the Finnish netminder said he would basically play for free.
If Rask tells his agent he's open to moving there's going to be a number of teams who come calling. Look for the Edmonton Oilers to be at the top of that list, along with the Pittsburgh Penguins and Anaheim Ducks.
Chris Johnston on Tuukka Rask: "He's starting to work his way back to what looks like an NHL return, I can tell you some of his former Bruins teammates think that's what he's ramping up for even the Finnish Olympic team is considering him for their plans"

Rask who is now 34, went 15-5-2 last season with a 2.28 GAA and a .913 save %. There's no doubt he feels like he has plenty left in the tank and expect to see him not only at the Olympics for Finland but playing for an NHL team in the near future. Where exactly that is, at this point, is anyone's guess.
