Seattle Kraken Place Forward On Waivers

The Seattle Kraken have placed forward Nathan Bastian on waivers.

The Kraken selected Bastian from the New Jersey Devils in this summer's expansion draft. In 12 games with Seattle thus far, he has a goal and assist. With that, he possesses a minus-1 rating and a whopping 31 penalty minutes. Therefore, the 6'4" forward does play a very heavy game.

Bastian last played a game for Seattle on November 9th when they faced off against the Vegas Golden Knights. With Mason Appleton now ready to return for the Kraken, this is a move that ultimately is not all that surprising.

It will be interesting to see if the Devils decide to claim the 23-year-old forward back. In 49 games with the Devils over two seasons, he had six goals and 13 points. Given the fact that he is still young and could improve from here, it would not be surprising if New Jersey or another team takes a shot on him.
