Seattle Kraken Players Growing Frustrated as Losing Continues

The Seattle Kraken lost their fifth game in a row on Wednesday night as they fell to the Chicago Blackhawks. The Kraken have struggled this season and currently sit 4-11-1 on the season, second last in the NHL. Kraken players are starting to speak out about their frustrations.

After their latest loss to the Blackhawks, Kraken forward Jared McCann had this to say to the media:

It's definitely frustrating. We see it in video. There is no other way to put it. It's frustrating and we need to clean it up. I want to win. I think everybody does on our team. Things aren't going our way right now. We're shooting ourselves in the foot. That's the way it is.

McCann was not alone with his thoughts to the media. Kraken forward and two-time Stanley Cup champion Yanni Gourde had this to say about the losses piling up:

We gotta start thinking one game at a time, one shift at a time. That's all that matters. The next shift. The next guy up, let's go. Let's keep grinding. Let's find ways. We can't look too far ahead. Let's win the next first shift, and then go from there.

The Kraken are not enjoying the same success as the Vegas Golden Knights did in their inaugural season and many are pointing to the fact they looked away at a ton of talented players who perhaps were on the expensive side. Seattle put emphasis on cap space and are now paying for it in year one.
