Video: Sergei Bobrovsky Robs Kevin Fiala...Twice!

The Florida Panthers are facing off against the Minnesota Wild tonight in Miami, and while the Panthers climbed to a 3-1 lead after two periods, the star of the show has been Sergei Bobrovsky. The Russian netminder had struggled in his first couple of seasons with Florida, but he looks to be back in his Vezina winning form this year. Check out this series of saves from Bob.

A bit of a breakdown by the Panthers' defence sees Kevin Fiala jump off the Wild bench and find himself all alone on a breakaway. His quick wrist shot to the blocker side gets knocked into the corner by a sprawling Bobrovsky. Fiala quickly retrieves his own rebound, plays it around behind the net, and immediately gets himself lost in coverage. The puck gets worked back into the far corner where Ryan Hartman makes a lightning-quick centering feed right onto the tape of Fiala who is all alone in front once again. Bobrovsky robbed him there too. Fiala again picks up his own rebound and immediately tries for a wraparound chance which was stifled at the side of the net by the Panthers' defence. The puck eventually finds its way back to Hartman, who tries a sneaky outside shot from the middle boards, and Bob stopped that one as well, finally allowing his defencemen to gain possession and clear the zone.

Bobrovsky has been having a stellar bounce-back season with the Panthers and has been a huge factor (along with rookie Spencer Knight) in his team's success to start the year. The Panthers set a franchise record with the best start to a season their team has ever seen. Their 10-0-1 start also saw them tie two other teams for the most points ever (21) in the first 11 games of an NHL season. Great work by the Panthers, and a great series of saves by Sergei Bobrovsky!
