St. Louis Blues' Veteran Forward Placed On IR
The St. Louis Blues have placed winger James Neal on injured reserve due to an undisclosed injury. As a result of this, they also have called up Dakota Joshua from the AHL.
Neal last played on November 22nd when the Blues went up against the Vegas Golden Knights. As a result of this, he has been out of the lineup for their last two games.
The Blues signed Neal to a professional tryout contract before the start of the season. He ended up impressing them enough to earn a contract for the campaign. However, things haven't started off too well for the 34-year-old in St. Louis, as he has only two goals and four points in 17 games. With that, he also hasn't recorded a point in his last seven contests.
Neal's injury does open the door for Joshua to show the Blues what he can do. In six games this season with them, he has no points.
