Tampa Bay Lightning Defenseman To Return From Injury
Tampa Bay Lightning head coach Jon Cooper told reporters today that defenseman Zach Bogosian will return against the Florida Panthers. The veteran had been out with a foot injury.
Bogosian being ready to return is big news for Tampa Bay. The Lightning just lost fellow right-handed defenseman Erik Cernak to an upper-body injury and he is currently labeled as week-to-week. Therefore, Bogosian can help fill the hole of his absence.#TBLightning coach Jon Cooper said that Zach Bogosian will return tonight. First game since season opener. Bogosian last played during the season opener against the Pittsburgh Penguins. During that contest, he failed to record a point and had a -2 rating.
After a year with the Toronto Maple Leafs, Bogosian signed a very affordable three-year, $2,550,000 million contract to return to the Lightning this summer. For the grit and defense-first style he brings, his $850,000 is certainly a good one. He will be looking to help Tampa Bay crawl themselves back up to the top of the Atlantic Division.
