Tampa Bay Lightning Star Out Indefinitely
The Tampa Bay Lightning have announced that forward Brayden Point will be out indefinitely due to an upper-body injury.
This is such a significant loss for the Lightning. Point has blossomed into their top center and is among the league's best players. One also has to remember that Nikita Kucherov is still out with a lower-body injury for multiple weeks, too. Therefore, they have two major holes in their forward group.Injury Update: Forward Brayden Point is out indefinitely with an upper body injury.

The Lightning have regrouped after a bit of a rough start and have a 9-4-3 record. With this, they aren't in a bad position in the standings, but the Atlantic Division is looking very competitive this season. Teams like the Detroit Red Wings and Boston Bruins aren't far behind them right now.
In 16 games this season, Point has seven goals and 13 points. It'll be very hard for the Lightning to replace that kind of production in their lineup. We'll have to wait and see how they perform with now two of their most important forwards out.
