Three Forwards Placed On Waivers

The Dallas Stars have placed forwards Blake Comeau and Tanner Kero on waivers. The Nashville Predators also have done the same thing with Rocco Grimaldi.

All three of these players are very interesting to see and there could be teams willing to take chances on them.

Comeau is a grizzled veteran who works well in both the bottom-six and on the penalty kill. The 35-year-old winger has over 900 games of experience as well and is an alternate captain for the Stars. His $1 million cap hit is also very affordable, especially for what he provides. In six games this season, he has one assist. He also had 14 points in 51 games last season.

Kero is another bottom-six forward who is capable of producing decent scoring. He scored three goals and had 10 points in 39 games with the Stars last season, He also has recorded two assists in seven games so far this year. He only has a $750,000 cap hit for the next two seasons, which makes him quite easy to afford. He's not a bad player to have at that price.

Grimaldi not only has blistering speed, but also works extremely hard. He is currently making $2 million and is in the final year of his contract. Two years ago with the Predators, he had a career year where he scored 10 goals and had 31 points in 66 games. However, he hasn't been able to replicate those totals since. In five games this season, he has zero points. Yet, one has to wonder if a change of scenery could spark him to find his old form.
