Trade Rumor: Minnesota Wild Make Offer to Vancouver Canucks

According to Ben Kuzma of the Vancouver Province the Minnesota Wild have contacted the Vancouver Canucks to discuss a trade centered around JT Miller.

It's not surprising to see a team check in on the availability of the Canucks best players as the team has been a disappointment so far this season and there's certainly a chance major changes are coming. Is this the change? Seems very unlikely at this point that Miller becomes the fall guy.

The 28-year-old versatile forward has been one of the bright spots in Vancouver, recording 19 points in 19 games. Miller is in his third season with the Canucks and has been a great addition from the Tampa Bay Lightning, producing each and every year.

Kuzma had this to add about a potential deal between the two clubs:

In a Miller acquisition, the Wild would likely dangle winger Kevin Fiala, 25, who has had ample opportunity to score, but has just three goals despite 58 shots — which speaks to his minuscule 5.1 shooting percentage. He’s also in the final year of a contract that carries a US $5.1-million salary cap hit.

This is certainly a storyline to follow but at this point it doesn't seem likely Miller is moved. Fiala out of Minnesota? Well, that's a different story.
