Two Nashville Predators Forwards Placed On IR
The Nashville Predators have placed forwards Filip Forsberg and Nick Cousins on injured reserve with upper-body injuries. They each have been deemed as week-to-week. As a result of this, they also have recalled forwards Mathieu Olivier and Michael McCarron from the Milwaukee Admirals.
Forsberg has been out since November 3rd for the Predators, but wasn't originally moved to IR. He certainly wants to recover quickly, as he is eligible for unrestricted free agency next summer. In nine games so far this season, he has four goals and seven points. The #Preds have recalled forwards Michael McCarron and Mathieu Olivier from Milwaukee (AHL). Cousins may not be a star for the Predators, but he is an important part of their bottom-six. In 12 games this season, he has a goal and three points. In 52 games last season, he showed a bit more of an offensive touch, as he had five goals and 18 points.
The Predators are bringing up two tough players in Olivier and McCarron, so we could be in for some fights. Olivier played in 30 games with the Predators last season. In them, he had three goals, two assists and a whopping 70 penalty minutes. As for McCarron, he played six games with Nashville and had 16 penalty minutes.
