Two Young Players Placed On Waivers

The Arizona Coyotes have placed defenseman Kyle Capobianco on waivers. The New Jersey Devils have also done the same thing with forward Marian Studenic.
Capobianco could honestly be classified as a victim of circumstance. He was expected to take that next step this season and be a mainstay in the Coyotes' top-six, but a knee injury knocked him out right before the start of the campaign. Defensemen like Dysin Mayo and Cam Dineen have impressed the Coyotes enough to stick around, thus making Capobianco expendable.

In 14 career games over four seasons with the Coyotes, Capobianco has one assist. He's been a good scorer at the AHL level, so a team could elect to claim the 24-year-old. In 155 career games with the Tucson Road Runners, he has 21 goals, 91 assists and 112 points.

Studenic, on the other hand, has played in five games with the Devils this season. In them, he failed to get on the scoresheet. He also played eight games with them last season, where he recorded a goal and an assist. Due to the fact that he's just 23 years old, a team could be willing to give the Slovakian winger a shot.
