Vancouver Canucks Forward Placed On LTIR
The Vancouver Canucks have moved forward Matthew Highmore from Injured Reserve to Long-Term Injured Reserve. The 25-year-old has been out with an upper-body injury since late last month.
Like Thomas Drance states above, Highmore now isn't eligible to return until at least Sunday night when the Canucks take on the Chicago Blackhawks. Yet, it seems very likely that he will be out of action for a long time after that. Therefore, there certainly is a high level of concern following this move.#Canucks forward Matthew Highmore (upper body) was recently moved from IR to Long-Term Injured Reserve (LTI).

Having been placed on LTI, Highmore won't be able to return earlier than Sunday vs. Chicago. Sense is that he'll be out for a while beyond that though.
This definitely is not good news for the Canucks. At this said time, they sport a 5-9-2 record and could use Highmore's help to try to get back on track. Although he is not a dominant offensive player, his defensive play is missed heavily on the penalty kill.
In eight games this season so far, Highmore has two assists.
