Vegas Golden Knights Claim Forward Off Waivers

The Vegas Golden Knights have claimed forward Adam Brooks off waivers from the Montreal Canadiens.

This is the second time this season where Brooks is joining a new team through waivers. Before the start of the regular season, the Toronto Maple Leafs did the same thing with him and the Canadiens claimed him.

It seemed like a no-brainer that the Leafs were going to bring him back when news originally came out that Brooks was back on waivers. They were first in line to claim him, but acquiring Kyle Clifford later on Tuesday is probably what made them pass on Brooks.

Nonetheless, this is a good move for the Golden Knights. They are adding a 25-year-old center who has had some offensive success at the NHL level. In 11 games last season with the Leafs, he scored four goals and had an assist. He only suited up in four games with the Canadiens and had an assist with them.

Injuries have been killing Vegas, so it makes sense for them to add some depth. Brooks is not a bad option at all, especially with them grabbing him for free.
