Very Positive Update Regarding Drew Doughty
Los Angeles Kings star defenseman Drew Doughty is making significant progress with his right knee contusion and may be back sooner than his original six-to-eight week expected recovery time.
LeBrun on Insider Trading reports Drew Doughty is ahead of schedule in his recovery from a knee injury. Could be back sooner than 6-8 weeks.

It's fantastic to hear that Doughty is currently ahead of schedule with his recovery, but at the same time, the Kings of course cannot rush him back. Although there is a distinct possibility he could be cleared to return early, that certainly is not definitive yet. Things can change with injuries like his, of course.
Without Doughty, the Kings have been able to remain competitive. At this juncture, they sport an 8-6-2 record and have won seven out of their last 10 games. However, even with this, it is absolutely apparent that they'd be a lot better off if the 31-year-old was still in the lineup.
Here's to hoping Drew keeps making progress like this and is back with the Kings soon.
