Video: Bruins' Patrice Bergeron Breaks The Ice And Scores Four Times Against Red Wings

Boston Bruins captain Patrice Bergeron had a game to remember Thursday night against the Detroit Red Wings. The 36-year-old center scored four of the Bruins' five goals in the team's win.

This was exactly what the doctor ordered for Bergeron. In the team's first seven games, he had no goals and three assists. With him being an older player now, some hockey fans were beginning to wonder if his best days were behind him. Clearly, Bergeron proved his critics wrong last night. Now, he has seven points in eight games.

Bergeron scored his first three goals all on the power play and then added another late in the third period. It's safe to say that the Bruins are feeling pretty good about their power play right now because of it.

Perhaps this will be the beginning of a much-needed hot streak for Bergeron. The Bruins certainly are up for a challenge next game, as they will be taking on the red hot Toronto Maple Leafs. The Maple Leafs will be aiming to win their fifth straight contest.

Bergeron wasn't the only to play four goals on Thursday, either. Brock Nelson of the New York Islanders did against the Montreal Canadiens as well!
