Video: Buffalo Sabres Score Buzzer Beater

On Sunday night, the Buffalo Sabres fell to the New York Rangers after Ryan Lindgren scored with 0.4 seconds left. Yet, on Monday against the Columbus Blue Jackets, the Sabres scored a buzzer-beater of their own. Zemgus Girgensons tipped in Colin Miller's wrist shot from the point with just 0.3 seconds left in the first period.

Buzzer-beaters aren't very common, but apparently that changes when the Sabres play games. The team's loss to the Rangers was one that hurt a lot, but it was cool to see a last second goal go their way this time. Their fans clearly loved it to, as the building erupted after the puck went in.

Columbus would get the last laugh, though, as they went on to defeat the Sabres by a 7-4 final score. Sometimes late goals in periods can kill a team's momentum, but it's safe to say the Blue Jackets ended up just fine. Now, when the Blue Jackets take on the Winnipeg Jets next game, are we going to see them score a goal with 0.2 seconds left in a period?
