Video: Canadiens' Anderson And Predators' Olivier Fight
Things got heated between the Montreal Canadiens and Nashville Predators. With the Canadiens up 5-0 late in the second period, Predators forward Mathieu Olivier tried to spark up his team by fighting Josh Anderson.
It certainly was an entertaining bout between the two big forwards. However, if one were to pick a winner, it's hard to argue against Anderson. He threw a bunch of hard rights at Olivier, but the latter still was able to get in a few punches of his own.
Olivier isn't afraid to play a physical game, as he had 70 penalty minutes in 30 games last season with the Predators. In five this year with Nashville, he already has 12, too. However, Anderson is known for being a tough customer and clearly showed that with his decisive W in the tilt.
The fight did seem to help Nashville get more energy, though, as they dominated the third period. However, even with a Matt Duchene hat trick, they still ended up losing by a 6-3 final score.
