Video: Canadiens' Jake Evans Scores Ridiculous Goal
In Tuesday night's game against the Los Angeles Kings, Montreal Canadiens forward Jake Evans showed off immense skill. He deked defenseman Tobias Bjornfot completely out of position before beating Cal Petersen top shelf.
It's hard to blame Bjornfot for this, though, as even the best of NHL defensemen would have had trouble with Evans' fantastic hands there. This goal was also a big one for the Canadiens, as it tied the game up and forced overtime. Although they ended up losing, they did get a much-needed point at least.
This could be a big confidence booster for Evans moving forward. On the season thus far, he has two goals in 10 games. One has to believe that he is capable of producing more, especially after a fantastic goal like that!
Keep an eye on him Thursday night when the Canadiens take on the Calgary Flames. Maybe this is the beginning of a hot streak for the 25-year-old.
