Video: Canucks' Thatcher Demko Makes Insane Save With Skate Blade
We have another save of the year candidate. In Tuesday night's game against the New York Rangers, Vancouver Canucks goaltender Thatcher Demko found himself in serious trouble, as his blocker fell off. Even with this, the refs let play continue and the 25-year-old made a series of fantastic saves. However, none were better than the one he made with his skate blade on star Artemi Panarin.
Not only was the save magnificent, but it also was extremely important for the Canucks. At that point of the contest, the Rangers were on the power play and there were two minutes left in the third period with a 2-2 score. The game would then go to OT and former Ranger J.T. Miller scored the game winner.
This was a very entertaining game, but Demko truly stole the show with his heroics in the third period. Wouldn't you agree?
