Video: Capitals' Tom Wilson And Lightning's Erik Cernak End Game With Scuffle

Monday night's game between the Tampa Bay Lightning and Washington Capitals ended in an eventful manner. Tampa Bay defenseman Erik Cernak and Washington forward Tom Wilson would get into a scuffle at the buzzer. Wilson cross-checked Cernak in the wrist after the latter speared him below the belt.

It also is important to note that Cernak also got into it with captain Alex Ovechkin earlier in the contest. Thus, Wilson already must have been angry with Cernak beforehand. 

These two also already had a bit of history before this play. Back during the 2018-19 season, the pair got into a spirited bout with one another as well.

The Capitals and Lightning play each other again on April 6th, 2022. Therefore, there is plenty of time for these two to cool off until then, but at the same time, it wouldn't be surprising at all to see them settle the score then. Fans of the teams - mark your calendars!
