Video: Golden Knights' Robin Lehner Makes Spectacular Diving Save
In Thursday night's game against the Ottawa Senators, Vegas Golden Knights goaltender Robin Lehner made a marvelous diving glove save on Austin Watson after finding himself out of position. It was the kind of stop that goalie coaches love to see.
At that point, the game was still scoreless early on in the second period. One could argue that this would help build momentum for the Golden Knights, as they scored three times in the period after it. The game also ended with a 5-1 final score, so it became a dominant offensive performance for Vegas.
Lehner had himself a spectacular night in general, too. He saved 38 out of 39 shots from the Senators, so clearly, they have a plethora of chances throughout the game. However, he just kept shutting the door on them.
Although Vegas has had a bit of a rough start to the season, Lehner has done his best to keep them in games. He currently sports a 4-5-0 record, but also a 2.89 GAA and .915 SV%. If he keeps playing like that, the wins should keep coming for the 30-year-old.
