Video: Hurricanes' Seth Jarvis Scores First NHL Goal On Marc-Andre Fleury
Carolina Hurricanes rookie Seth Jarvis was just called up from the AHL on Halloween. Now, in just his second career game on Wednesday night, he scored his first career goal on future Hall of Fame goaltender Marc-Andre Fleury. It certainly was a pretty one, as he stole the puck in the defensive zone and then showed great poise on the breakaway.
It's pretty safe to say that the Hurricanes are loving what the 19-year-old is giving them so far. In his first NHL game against the Arizona Coyotes, he also recorded an assist. Thus, he has gotten on the scoresheet in both NHL games he's played in. That's a very good first impression to give.
This goal ended up being a big one for the Hurricanes, too. It helped spark their comeback and they'd eventually win the game by a 4-3 final score.
The Hurricanes selected Jarvis with the 13th overall pick of the 2020 NHL Entry Draft. He's viewed as a huge part of their future because of this and has all the tools to be a great scorer in this league. We will have to see what he does Saturday night against the red hot Florida Panthers.
