Video: Joe Pavelski Scores 400th Career Goal
In his 1,104th career NHL game, Dallas Stars forward Joe Pavelski scored his 400th career goal. It was done in a very cool fashion, too, as it was only 19 seconds after his first goal in the contest. Thus, it's safe to say that he wanted to reach this milestone very quickly after hitting 399 career goals.
Pavelski has had such an impressive career. This is especially the case when you remember that the Wisconsin native was selected by the San Jose Sharks 205th overall in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft. Not too many seventh round picks record 400 career goals and over 800 points. He of course was even captain of the Sharks, too.
Even as an older player for NHL standards, Pavelski is still quite effective this season. In 18 games, he has six goals and 12 points.
Nonetheless, congrats to Joe for this fantastic achievement!
