Video: Maple Leafs' Mitch Marner Scores With Beautiful Spin-O-Rama
It's safe to say that the old Mitch Marner is back for the Toronto Maple Leafs. In Tuesday night's contest against the Vegas Golden Knights, Marner made a beautiful spin-o-rama in front of the net and then beat Robin Lehner for the goal. Although it was during the first period, it was a big one because it turned out to be the game-winner.
Marner's contributions on the night didn't stop there, either. He recorded two assists later on in the contest, which made it his first multi-point game of the campaign. This is huge news for him, as he of course started this year on the wrong foot.
In his last three games, Marner now has two goals and five points. In his first seven, he only had an assist. Furthermore, he now has scored in back-to-back games. Last night's beautiful goal clearly shows that he is once again feeling confident. The Leafs are certainly benefitting from it, too, as they now have a 5-4-1 record after a poor start to the season.
