Video: Lightning's Brayden Point Jumps Panthers' Patric Hornqvist
The Florida Panthers and Tampa Bay Lightning have become arguably the best rivalry in the NHL. Each game is spirited and bad blooded and Saturday's matchup was much of the same. This time it was Brayden Point and Patric Hornqvist's time to get involved.
The play happened mid-way through the second period when Point and Hornqvist got tangled up along the glass. It looked like Hornqvist said something to Point he didn't like after he slashed the Lightning forward. This led to a trip, and then Point just saying 'screw it' and dropping the gloves.
For both players it's unfamiliar territory although Hornqvist plays much closer to the edge than Point does. None the less, great sequence right here between two of the best teams in the league:
