Mitch Marner may not be able to score on the power play but down a man the Toronto Maple Leafs forward seems to be able to get the job done. Marner scored an absolute beauty shorty on Sunday night against the New York Islanders.
It was a four-on-three power play for the Islanders and next thing you know Maple Leafs defenseman Jake Muzzin is flinging a stretch pass up the ice as Marner got behind Mathew Barzal of the Islanders and in alone. This is the kind of risks you take when you ice all forwards for the power play.
After Marner receives the pass, his fancy footwork and his patience take over and the rest is history. Enjoy this beauty and kudos for Marner for giving Muzzin his props for a sick pass:
