Video: Nazem Kadri Hit From Behind After Scoring Goal
Early on in the third period, Colorado Avalanche forward Nazem Kadri scored the tying goal against the Vancouver Canucks. Immediately after, he was hit from behind by J.T. Miller.
This led to a big scrum following the goal, as both Cale Makar and Mikko Rantanen went to confront Miller. Overall, it is understandable that they would stand up for their teammate, as Miller's hit was dirty and completely unnecessary.
Following the play, both Miller and Rantanen each received a two-minute minor penalty for roughing.
Kadri is known for being very tenacious and has been labeled by hockey fans as being dirty because of his multiple suspensions. However, he did show great restraint by not retaliating after Miller's hit, so he does deserve some praise for that.
Kadri's goal was also huge, as the Avalanche gained momentum after it and won the game by a 4-2 final score.
