Video: Patrik Laine Scores On One-Timer With Remarkable Shot

It's safe to say that Columbus Blue Jackets forward Patrik Laine is really feeling it as of late. In Sunday's game against the New Jersey Devils, Laine scored on a one-timer with a complete rocket of shot. The 23-year-old winger certainly should have thanked Jakub Voracek for the beautiful pass, too.

Heading into the season, it was apparent that the Blue Jackets expected a big bounce back campaign from Laine. After they acquired him from the Winnipeg Jets last season, he had 10 goals and 21 points, which is far too low for his standards. So far this season, he's looked more like his old self, as he now has three goals and eight points in eight games. 

There is no denying that Laine has an unbelievable shot, so he has the ability to score a lot of goals. Maybe this will be the season that he hits the 40-goal plateau again for the first time since the 2017-18 campaign. If he keeps shooting like that, it's hard to bet against him.
