Video: Predators' Matt Duchene Records Hat Trick

Although the Nashville Predators fell to the Montreal Canadiens on Saturday night by a 6-3 score, Matt Duchene surely did his part to try to get them back in it. The 30-year-old forward recorded a hat trick and is continuing to stay dominant.

In 34 games last season, Duchene only had six goals and 13 points. With that, he was even left unprotected by the Predators for the Expansion Draft. However, he has completely turned things around this campaign thus far, as he now has 12 goals and 19 points in just 17 games.

Over his last nine games, however, he has scored a whopping 10 goals and recorded four assists. With this, he's currently one of the hottest players in the entire NHL.

When looking at Duchene's previous seasons in the league, it was clear that he had the potential to bounce back. Although the season is still young, he's already doing that and more at this juncture.
