Video: Rangers' Lafreniere And Islanders' Pageau Fight

Nearing the conclusion of Wednesday night's contest between the New York Rangers and New York Islanders, forwards Alexis Lafreniere and Jean-Gabriel Pageau got into a fight. Lafreniere started the scrap by first tripping Pageau and then going right after him.

Earlier on in the game, Pageau threw a high hit on defenseman Ryan Lindgren, so it's easy to see why Lafreniere decided to instigate this scrap. Lindgren is one of the Rangers' best defensemen and it's never good to see a player like him stay down.

Lafreniere and Pageau aren't necessarily known for their fighting abilities, but this was still an entertaining way for a contest to end. Lafreniere's teammates certainly will appreciate that he stood up for Lindgren.
