Video: Rangers' Reaves Hits Flames' Mangiapane In Head
In Saturday night's game between the New York Rangers and Calgary Flames, Ryan Reaves threw a dirty hit to the head on Andrew Mangiapane. This led both teams getting together after the whistle. Flames defenseman Erik Gudbranson also would drop the gloves with Jarred Tinordi in the process.
It is completely understandable that the Flames quickly aimed to defend them teammate after Reaves' dirty hit. Mangiapane is off to a fantastic start on the campaign, as he has a notable seven goals and nine points in just 11 games. Therefore, he is becoming of their key forwards and cannot be hit like that without consequences.
Although Gudbranson didn't end up going toe to toe with Reaves, he still sparked the Flames by immediately fighting a tough customer in Tinordi. It's a shame that these two teams don't meet up again this season.
Alas, the Flames got the last laugh, as they defeated the Rangers by a dominant 6-0 final score.
