Video: Sabres' Dylan Cozens Fights Kings' Brendan Lemieux
After Dylan Cozens knocked Brendan Lemieux off the puck, the Los Angeles Kings winger let the Buffalo Sabres 2019 seventh overall pick know that he didn't take kindly to that. This would lead to the pair getting into a spirited bout.
It was nice to see Cozens stand up for himself against an opponent who has a plethora of fighting experience in the NHL. Cozens is still just 20 years old and definitely wasn't drafted for his scrapping ability. Even if he didn't end up getting a triumphant win over Lemieux, one has to respect him for trying.
When looking at Lemieux, it was pretty interesting to see him get into a fight against the Sabres. Keep in mind, the 25-year-old was originally drafted by Buffalo with the 31st overall selection of the 2014 NHL Entry Draft. Yet, it's important to note that he actually never ended up playing a game there, as he was a part of the Evander Kane deal with the Winnipeg Jets.
The Kings would end up getting a much-needed win against the Sabres, as they won by a final score of 3-2.
