Video: Sidney Crosby Throws Martin Fehervary Into Boards
In Sunday night's game against the Washington Capitals, Sidney Crosby dangerously threw defenseman Martin Fehervary into the boards.
During the play, Fehervary didn't even have the puck. Thus, there was no actual reason for Crosby to take the body, let alone in that dirty of a fashion. Crosby somehow even avoided a penalty as well.
Crosby was clearly agitated with the way the game was going for the Penguins and it's easy to understand why. At the time of the incident, they were losing to the Capitals by a 5-1 score. The Penguins are also off to a hard start, as they sport a 5-5-4 record at this time.
This also wouldn't be the only questionable thing Crosby did during the contest, either. Later on in the third period, he crosschecked Evgeny Kuznetsov twice away from the play.
However, the Fehervary play stands out more and it will be interesting to see what happens from here. Crosby may be hearing from NHL Player Safety for that one.
