Video: Stars' John Klingberg Completely Fools Jets' Jansen Harkins, Leads To Goal
John Klingberg deked Winnipeg Jets forward Jansen Harkins out so badly that the latter would end up falling. This gave Klingberg plenty of room to let a wrist shot, which led to a goal for the Stars. Although it looked like his goal originally, it turned out that Tyler Seguin tipped it in. Even with this being the case, Klingberg's stickhandling deserves massive praise.
This goal was also a key one, as it led the Stars to tie the game up. Although they did eventually fall to the Jets in the shootout, it's better that they got one point from the contest than none at all.
This was also a big moment for Klingberg, as it was first point of the regular season. He was held off the scoresheet in his first four games, but one could blame that on rustiness after missing the beginning of the year. He will be looking to continue to dominate opponents like that, as he has an expiring deal and wants to receive a hefty raise next off-season.
