3 More NHL Games Postponed
Even after the holiday break, the rise of COVID-19 cases have forced the NHL to postpone three more games. They are as followed:
Columbus Blue Jackets vs. Chicago Blackhawks (December 28th)
Pittsburgh Penguins vs. Toronto Maple Leafs (December 29th)
Boston Bruins vs. Ottawa Senators (December 29th)
When looking at the teams who were set to play, it isn't all that surprising. The Blue Jackets currently have six players out, so that makes sense. The Maple Leafs have been hit ridiculously hard, as Jake Muzzin became the 14th player on their roster to enter protocol. The Bruins just had seven players return from protocol, but still have four out, too.
Ultimately, the league's primary goal is to prevent the virus from spreading as effectively as possible. Although it's always disappointing for games to get rescheduled, it honestly is understandable given the current situation at hand.
