Avalanche Place Forward On Waivers

The Colorado Avalanche have placed forward Jayson Megna on waivers.

Megna has played in 20 games so far with the Avalanche this season. In them, he has three assists and a minus-2 rating. He also had two assists in 15 games over the two previous seasons with the NHL squad.

At the AHL level, Megna has certainly had success. Last season he appeared in 13 games with the Colorado Eagles and had seven goals and nine points. The season before with the Eagles, he also recorded 34 points in 43 games. This kind of production in the minors could make a team looking to add some depth interested in the 31-year-old.

In 148 career games over eight NHL seasons, Megna has 10 goals, 15 assists and 25 points. It will be intriguing to see if a team decides to take a chance on the veteran forward.
