Avalanche's Gabriel Landeskog To Miss Time

The injury bug is refusing to leave the Colorado Avalanche alone, as captain Gabriel Landeskog will now be out for the next two weeks due to a lower-body injury.
It seems as though that every single top player has missed time this season already for the Avalanche. However, even with all of their injuries, they still are sporting a 15-7-2 record and aren't showing signs of slowing down. Landeskog being missing from the lineup over these next two weeks won't benefit them, though.

Over the summer, Landeskog signed an eight-year, $56 million contract. He certainly has been living up to it so far, as he has nine goals, 27 points and a plus-12 rating this campaign already. It's a shame that the star winger is now hurt, as he was on a ten-game point streak and playing some of his best hockey.

Although Landeskog will be missing time, the one positive from it is that it is a short-term injury. Here's to hoping he recovers on schedule and will be back with the team in no time.
