Latest Update on the Status of Maple Leafs' Mitch Marner
Toronto Maple Leafs forward Mitch Marner has missed his team's last two games and by the sounds of it, he's going to be out for several more. According to Darren Dreger of TSN, Marner will not play against the Columbus Blue Jackets on Tuesday and could be out at least two more weeks.
CBJ/Leafs tonight on TSN. Outcome of Spezza in-person hearing to be determined. Plus, sounds like Marner may be out for another week…maybe two.

Marner was hurt at practice last last week after he and Jake Muzzin collided during a drill. The two were seeing jawing at each other after, with Marner in obvious distress about Muzzin hitting him. From the sounds of it, Marner has a shoulder injury which was confirmed on Tuesday afternoon by his head coach.

Marner has appeared in 24 games so far in 2021-22 and he's recorded 21 points. He's been on fire of late on a line with Michael Bunting and Auston Matthews. The Maple Leafs, after being on their best streak of the season, have gone winless without Marner, losing in a shootout to the Minnesota Wild on Saturday and in regulation in a wild game on Sunday against the Winnipeg Jets.
Leafs Nation can't wait to have Marner back in the lineup and have not been shy about their displeasure for Muzzin. Let's hope everyone can get back to full strength and the team can get back to their winning ways, with all their best players in the lineup.
