Los Angeles Kings Place Defenseman On Waivers
The Los Angeles Kings have placed Kale Clague on waivers. This is the second time they have done this with the young defenseman this season, as he originally didn't make the team out of camp.
The Kings are taking a big gamble doing this, as it feels far more likely that another team will claim Clague this time around. Now that we are getting deeper into the season, all teams are dealing with both injuries and illnesses. Thus, they could use more depth and taking a guy like Clague for free is a fantastic option.Clague (LA) on waivers

Clague seems to be ready to take that next step as a full-time NHL defenseman. In 11 games this season, he has five assists. That's certainly solid production from the backend. However, due to the emergence of defenseman Sean Durzi, he just does not seem to have a place in Los Angeles' lineup.
We'll have to see if a team takes a chance on the 23-year-old, but it certainly wouldn't hurt for one to do so.
