NHL Rumors: Anaheim Ducks Rejected Buffalo Sabres Insane Trade Offer
I heard what the Sabres asked Anaheim for was (Trevor) Zegras, (Jamie) Drysdale, and two first-rounders. Anaheim wasn't willing to do that
No kidding the Ducks weren't willing to do that. Two of their best prospects they've had in nearly a decade, along with two other picks for a player who hasn't played in almost two seasons and just underwent a neck surgery that is brand new to the NHL. Can't blame Anaheim management for laughing off the offer.
Of course, as we know the Sabres went for the Vegas Golden Knights offer of Alex Tuch, Peyton Krebs and a top-10 protected first-rounder in 2022 and a 2023 second-rounder. A far cry from four massive pieces from the Ducks.
Zegras is only 20 and Drysdale 19, their futures look very bright in California. The creatively talented forward has 38 points in 54 games, meanwhile the mobile defenseman has 22 points in his 56 career games. These two aren't going anywhere and look for the Ducks to keep surprising the rest of the NHL for years to come.
